The Durand Food Pantry is located off the alley across from the fire station on Howard Street, Durand, Illinois. (The address is 401 Center, but you must go to the alley behind to access.) Distributions are the last Saturday of each month 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., and the following Monday, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Simply pull up your vehicle and tell the volunteers how many persons need food, household products and personal care items.
The Durand Area Food Pantry will be open for distribution on the following days:
Saturday, September 23, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (drive-up distribution only)
Monday, September 25, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. (choice of in person or drive-up)
Saturday, October 28, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. (drive-up distribution only)
Monday, September 30, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. (choice of in person or drive-up)
The Durand Area Food Pantry would love to have local gardeners help provide fresh produce. If you have any extra produce to share then please consider donating it to the pantry. You may also leave in the pantry stand near the entrance in the alley near the Fire Department. We would like this to be donated as close to our distribution date as possible so that the fruits, herbs and vegetables are fresh for pantry guests. This stand is checked daily. Thank you for helping our neighbors in need!
In addition, you can drop off vegetables and herbs on Mondays between 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. in the lot next to Center Street Creamery. These items are then distributed to local seniors like those in Medina and the subsidized apartments.
